THE first president of a residents' forum has been honoured with a commemorative plaque.

Keith Burns was nominated as the president of Aspull New Springs and Whelley Forum in November and has been awarded with a plaque to commemorate him becoming the first president and to honour his work.
Ward councillor Chris Ready and chairman Ron Conway presented the delighted president with the plaque.
Mr Burns said: “This is a great honour and one I am very pleased to accept.”
Mr Conway said: “ This award is well deserved for a true gentleman who whilst running his own business always does more then is share for the community.”
