A Roaring Success
During the past 3 months come hail rain or shine, pupils from our Lady’s RC Primary School have taken an active part in the “Come and Play with Lions” Rugby League Training Programme, organised by members of New Springs Lions A.R.L.F.C. Every pupil that took an active part in the programme has been awarded a certificate and a medal, which were presented by Labour Councillor Chris Ready. Three of the schools ex pupils, Elizabeth Unsworth, who successfully organised the TAG rugby event which took place at the end of the programme, Jake Bithell and Robin Wright were also given a special award for their work as Assistant Junior Coaches during the programme.
The clubs development Officer, John Shaw made the following comment “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cllr Chris Ready the staff, pupils of the school along with Wigan Sports Development Unit for supporting the “Come and Play With Lions” Programme Once again the programme has been a roaring success.
